- Potty and crate routine guidance
- Name recognition and engagement
- Leash introduction
- Basic manners and confidence building
Basic Obedience (Level 1)
Home School Level 1 builds the foundation at home — teaching you how to communicate with your dog while you build the fundamentals together.
- Sit & stay, down & stay, come when called
- Take it, leave it, and drop it
- Leash manners and impulse control
- Jumping, barking, chewing, digging, and nipping addressed at home
Intermediate Training (Level 2)
Home School Level 2 takes the foundation into public places, working the 3Ds — distance, distractions, and duration — around everyday environments.
- Position changes: sit, down, stand, and in motion
- Heel, front, center, and middle positions
- Focus and engagement in public
- Reliability around real-world distractions
Advanced Obedience (Level 3)
Home School Level 3 moves training into group field trips around the DFW area — dog-friendly stores, parks, beaches, and markets — up to 3 times per week.
- Working as a group with other dogs and handlers

- Calm, controlled behavior on outings
- Applying learned skills as one pack

- Not appropriate for every dog
Service Dog Training
A structured 7-month training journey developing the skills, reliability, and teamwork a service dog partnership requires, from foundational obedience through public-access preparation.
- Foundational obedience and handler skills
- Public-access skills in real-world environments
- Task training based on the handler's individual needs
- Generalizing skills across environments
Mileage & Travel Fees
Mileage is included for appointments within 25 miles of the Dallas-Fort Worth service area. Locations beyond that range are billed at $1.00 per mile after the first 25 miles. Any mileage fee is confirmed before scheduling.
Starting prices are provided for planning and may change after evaluation. Severe behavior cases, extended travel, added sessions, protection dog work, or service dog training may require a custom quote and longer training plan.
Common issues DogNexus can address.
Many owners wait until behavior becomes stressful. The sooner you create structure and consistency, the easier it is for your dog to learn.
- Puppy manners, crate routines, and early leash foundations
- Pulling on leash and poor walk manners
- Jumping on guests or family members
- Weak recall or selective listening
- Reactivity, overexcitement, and impulse control
- Advanced obedience, protection dog, and service dog training goals for qualifying dogs

Each Additional Service can be paired with an optional Training Maintenance / Upkeep add-on covering up to 2 years of continued support after your dog completes initial training. Maintenance is never added automatically — you choose it, and you'll always see its price before it's added to your cart.
